Advisory Experience Highlights:

  • Architecture 2030, Senior Fellow, 2020 – present 
    • Architecture 2030 guides the architectural profession to address climate change by plotting a pathway for decarbonizing buildings and providing resources to transform practice.
  • Climate Heritage Network, Steering Committee, 2018 – present 
    • The Climate Heritage Network was launched in concert with the publication of The Future of Our Pasts: Engaging Cultural Heritage in Climate Action by the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and is dedicated to integrating cultural and heritage perspectives into deliberations of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
  • Architectural Solar Education for Design and Construction Professionals, Content Advisory Board, 2021 – present
    • Funded with a grant by the US Department of Energy, the Architectural Solar Association is charged with developing a comprehensive education program series for practicing architects and other design and construction professionals.
  • University of Notre Dame, School of Architecture, Master of Science in Historic Preservation, Board of Advisors, 2021 – present
    • As an internationally recognized leader in historic preservation education, the University of Notre Dame is developing a Master’s degree in its historic preservation program.
  • Culture Over Carbon: Understanding the Energy Use and Impacts of Cultural Institutions, Technical Advisory Group, 2021 – present
    • Through a federal National Leadership Grant, Environment & Culture Partners and associated organizations are conducting a technical study of cultural institutions to develop greenhouse gas reduction targets and protocols.
  • University of Maryland, School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, Architecture Program Advisory Board, 2020 – present
    • The Advisory Board works to strengthen the Architecture Program’s mission, vision, and goals as many pressing challenges confront the profession and education.
  • DC Preservation League, 50th Anniversary Program Series, Stewardship for Climate Action, Program Track Chair, 2020 – present
    • DCPL will conduct public programming throughout its 50th anniversary year to reinforce the role of stewardship in building a resilient and equitable city while addressing climate change.
  • National Trust for Historic Preservation, National Steering Committee for the PastForward Conference, 2021 – present
    • Faced with the devastating pandemic and America’s reckoning with social injustice, the Trust will focus its annual conference on a new National Impact Agenda.
